Well, i do care about audio as far as vocal and guitar is concerned, but my main work is going to be done synth-style.

I could just use audio on my synth, but i want to learn midi. Supposedly it's superior to audio for the type of music i want to do.

I was wondering about the yamah x-g format. Has a lot more sounds than GM, and is still midi. I don't know if it's only something i can get with hardware though. I don't really want to buy anything else, tongue.gif and there are too many options out there.

Still have no clue how to access the other 128 non-GM sounds my keyboard has in logic, the introduction manual isn't very helpful there, or maybe i'm just dense.
