Hi guys,

Does anybody know about some REALLY GOOD brass samples for EXS 24 mk2?I have almost everything made for AKAI,I also have the Miroslav Philharmonic, some GIGA samples, etc. but all of them sound too "soft" or "classical",and I need the real punch and attack and aggression of,say, a modern big band or at least a combo. It's not always possible to call real players and record them, you know. Please help! unsure.gif

Hey there.. not sure if this helps as I do not believe the samples are available in the EXS format, but check out Boradway Big Band. Granted this program is not quite for me, they are the best audio examples I have heard of sampled brass. Its worth checking out.. http://www.fablesounds.com/BBB-Menu-reviews.htm

Good luck on locating what you need! Brass and winds seem to be the toughest to sample..

cheers mate.

[quote name='Will2009' post='285544' date='Thu 4 Dec 2008, 18:34']hey there, you might want to check out " killer Brass " @ http:/www.soundscan.com , I purchased, it and I have a lot of fun with it, more importantly I, learn a lot about what works and what doesn't, by trying to incorporate the riffs and phrases into my compositions. anyway, check it out for yourself, it just might be what you are looking for.
