Evox Studio Monitors
DPA 4006 Microphone cool.gif
Beyer Dynamic DT-150 (2)
ADDA 2402 24 bit 96 kHz stereo AD/DA converter tongue.gif

......I'm so happy.....

Hehe, they make excellent microphones...

To begin with, I'll be making sketches for songs, but I hope to be able to record most of my debut album on it.

You seem to be in a similar position to me, but I'm using the Mbox. I'm so happy too. I have a Rode NT2 but will finally order one or even two DPA 4060s (need portable) when I get the microdot connection worked out. Probably today smile.gif I say possibly pair of mics as I've found how great real stereo sounds on my Dynaudio monitors. It's not necessary for my particular market where ghettoblasters will probably be the best gear my stuff will be heard on, but still....

I'm going to move very soon from sketches to re-recording prior to testing on my target market. I sometimes wonder if I'll manage to make my songs sound as great as they seem to be in my imagination. Not sure if I'm overly pretentious or whether its necessary so we do make the effort. What do you think?

I'm also not sure if I'll get to the selling stage before I find I've no money left to finance selling through internet with no help from the biggies in my field.

I'm jealous of your big screen. I'm working on a 12" ibook and although it makes me organise 'small' and keeps my knees warm, I feel I'd work better with an enormous six-foot screen blink.gif

Best of luck! I'd be very interested to know how you get on with the composing and the sketching to 'final' song phase.

Not sure whether I'm on topic or not blink.gif
Perhaps we should start a songwriting topic.
