hi all, it's been a long time since I've been on this board, I'm getting ready to do another portable recording project I'm looking for a semi-weighted keyboard preferably 49 keys to use as a MIDI and USB controller. I'd like to find one with onboard sounds on it, but can't seem to find any.? Anyone here know of any. Thanks ahead of time for your support. "Hook" It'd be great if there are any ?
I'm using a powerbook 17" with M-Audio ProTools, Proteus XR1 sound module, various other sound shaping programs on computers, older bubble iMAC 20"

CME makes one, a slim little number with a phone chip quality instrument set. cheap too. might be enough. not semi-weighted, though. the 49 key emu controller feels great, and i like the new roland too, but no sounds. not much of a market for what you're looking for. if you can find an old roland ep6, it's got a piano sound or two, semi weighted keys, and midi out. speakers built in too. the studiologic 88 key piano controller has a good sound set, wouldn't set you back much either, though it's huge.

thanks appreciate your help, I'll check into these, my cat happens to sell Roland so I'l see if he can get/has one of these. I've look at CME one's they are rugged enough, but your right not semi, gots to have that being my style calls for it even though I won't using it for that. I just don't like the feel of the fluffy one's plus don't want to break it. I've to much maintenance cost issues because of it. MD
