Hi,

I have Logic 8 installed on my laptop connected to an M-Audio Firewire 1814, Ive installed the latest driver 1.8.3-6 (beta) correctly because the computer is reading the driver. Im Logic the driver is coming up. For some reason theres nothing happening on the box! Im running OSX 10.5.1 on an Intel based mac.

I hope someone can help because this is somewhat frustrating!!

Paul

had the same problem with 10.5 and even tried going back to 10.4 - same issues: refer to thread below for more info, as well as many other threads about the same BS driver support that is M-Audio.

Dear 440 Forum Members...

I have been away from my DAW for several months. I feel as if I cheated on someone... Wow, I cheated myself. I did purchase some vintage Hardware in the process. Mackie 24/8 and Mackie 24E... With Meter Bridges for both! Anyway, I have not been accessing my E-mail over the past month and a half. Mac is trying to force me to Upgrade to 10.4 or 10.5. (I have a Mac.Com Account. Normally excellent)... Finally, thanks to Firefox I am back Online.

Man, have you been going through major issues with Logic 8 and 10.4 and 10.5. I feel for you. Really, I go nuts if a light or meter is not functioning. I know in time all your "Transition Issues" will be solved, however, when you do get it right again, please, please, please hear my humble word of advice: NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER CHANGE A WORKING SYSTEM...

Finally, after seven years of learning, Burning and yearning I am getting my CD Mastered. Doing it in Hamburg at a place called: Master And Servant... All I know is they Master lots of German Music and they are expensive... I'm banking on my Music and Mix to get through to you guys. Actually it's ladies first, musicians second and Engineers last, but you are very important... I'm a bit nervous, like having to fight the tough guy after school and everyone is waiting to see what happens... It the fight of my life...

DON'T CHANGE A WORKING SYSTEM... EVER, EVER... EVER

Ah So. Wondered where you'd been.
Well I upgraded from Panther to Tiger with little effort and no problems. But I'm waiting a bit before I get Leopard onto one of my machines because of having to upgrade drivers etc.
Looking forward to hearing the CD. What are you going to call it?

yobrowhatchaknow?! I'm still struggling with my name and that of the CD... But, I am at a great place in body and soul, I hope in spirit too, mostly in fact. I am moving back to NY in a few months. Plus, have a wealth of Atlanta, Soul and R&B Musicians just sitting around doing nothing. They think I'm the man bringing work to town, I can't get over my good fortune. Sometimes things go too good to be true.
