hi i just bought a new macbook pro 17 inch intel processor i have live 7 original version and im having some problems
i wanted for some users to try as well because maybe this is a mac problem
i made a track in the arrangement and i want to record a loop of it i make a new channel and make it record the master when i listen the loop and turn the metrome on , keeps in sync thats ok but as soon as i put a vst anywhere in live and make the same thing when i listen to the loop its not in sync even if the vst its turned off the loop is not in sync ......
i can put it in sync i just wanted to know if this is normal or maybe my mac is fucked maybe a core problem
thanks

Hi, Ableton Live 7 works fine on Intel Macs... maybe it's an issue with the plug-in you are using...?
thanks

hello --
I am not an intel mac user, but the G5 ppc platform. Try this in Live 7 -- that is what I run also: Is the loop button on the loop pressed on ? is the warp button on ? what does the plug-in actually do ?
I have experienced the same issue in a playback mode -- there are still a few bugs I have noticed in Live 7 -- what you are describing is actually a Live 7 issue, not a mac issue.
The quick work around is this:
In the arrangement mode, especially when you have more that 6 tracks, open up or expand ALL the tracks so you can see their waveforms. Usually, what I have found is that when I have done this initially, the waveforms arent there, just the "colored block" of the loop. Does that make sense ?
Now, click on all the loops so that their "wave" actually is visible -- you will see them sort of scroll from left to right as their actual form gets displayed. When you have clicked all of them in your arrangement, you can now start play and everything will be in sync.
you can always go back and collapse each track after you have done this -- that won't matter -- for some reason the timing engine needs to know whats going on -- I hope that helps.
