Hi, I too had a SCSI zip which suddenly wouldn't let me access it any more via S3000XL but the port I discovered to be still OK as it can read AKAI CDROM's from my Yamaha CRW4416SX read/write/burner/drive. It is old and therefore v cheap on the second hand market. Also, there is a piece of software called Interpreter which allows Mac's to read AKAI files. Good luck J
