Hello all,

I need your help. I am not new to music or to computers but I am new to integrating them together. My problem is this. I want to create background tracks using audio and midi in a software program (like Live or whatever), and then be able to trigger the songs from a footswitch for a live performance. I wish to be able to choose the song from the footswitch - like song 123 or something. I know that something like Digitech's Jam Man can do at least some of this in a small box but I want to have more control and be able to layer more instruments, and I already have a computer!

Can someone suggest a combination of footswitch/software which would help me? I don't want to spend thousands of dollars, but other than this, money is not really the issue.

I appreciate any help that you can offer.

Darryl
