i recently bought an 828 from eBay, without a manual or any software. i downloaded the drivers for it from the motu website, but i do not know how to set it up with the sequencing software i am using (logic 4) nor indeed make my computer (indigo ibook) and the 828 talk to each other beyond recognising each other in the control panel. what is the audiodesk software like? what does the manual say?
any help would be much appreciated!

Yeah Running the audio would be throught the 828 Control Panel, I use a 2408, different driver samething. I here you can select which of the i/o will do what track, Etc. In Logic go to Audio Hareware and select the 828 ASIO driver. As far as audio desk goes, its a nice program for being free with you hardware, but you have Logic and logic may be more difficalt to understand, its far more powerful and includes MIDI Sequencing. I have to say though, if you not attached to Logic, download the demo project of DP from The MOTU Site motu web site
