Hello,
I want to do only audio recording (high quality) (classical and jazz), editing and mixing. I don't need no midi, loops, video scoring.....
Since I have external very good plugins, would be LE7 enough for me or does LP7 have a better recording sound, better editing and mixing tools?

Thank you

LE7 (you mean ProTools?) is better for you in my opinion, cause it's much simpler than Logic. Has no scoring, poor MIDI and it is a worldwide standard. Logic is more like composing AND recording tool, PT is exactly for recording. On the other hand Logic can handle a lot of interfaces, while PT is fixed with Digidesign (and M-audio) hardware. So if you really need a high quality, I would suggest PT HD, but the price... angry.gif

I think he means Logic Express7, both apps have the same sound engine, the biggest difference is the included plugins. Both support up to 255 audio tracks.

I've been using Express for several years, the only area that i thought was lacking were mixing and mastering plugs, so I purchased the suit of plugs from Elemental Audio.
