Dear Friends, I am running Logic 7.1.1 on a PowerBook G4 1.33 GHz laptop with 2G RAM. Is there any reason for me to do the 7.2. upgrade? I do not have an Intel book. Thanks for any advice. Sincerely, hahaworld

I upgraded my powerbook G4 to 7.2 mainly so I could use program changes on my controller to call up different audio instruments in my live performances. I play left-hand bass and right-hand keys. I configured 2 tracks so my left-hand bass stays the same while I can change patches for my right hand via program #'s on my controller. that feature alone was enough for me. I don't have to mouse around or trackpad around to get to my patches and its fast. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, friend! I do not use Logic in a live setting. I guess I was wondering if the 7.2 upgrade is a significant leap from 7.1.1, or should I just keep working with what I've got. What I've got works great.

It's not a big deal unlees you are running TDM hardware. there are some bug fixes.

Everything else is for Garage Band compatibility. The new ducking plug can come in handy.

Hi everybody. I've post this message to the LOGIC people to let they know how dissappinted I am.

QUOTE
I'm a musician/arranger, combining the pro studio with my homestudio.

I'm an unnhappy user of your Logic Express 7.1.1. I used previous versions of Logic without problems. I've found you have serious bugs in this version, and I was expecting you would SOLVE THEM FOR FREE.

The following was taken from your page
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302241

"Realtime sample rate conversion now works."

"Changing the sample rate in Logic when using the built-in audio of a Mac mini now works as expected."

"Trying to open a file that you do not have permission to access no longer causes Logic to quit unexpectedly."

"Importing protected (read-only) MIDI files now works as expected."

This information talk about SERIOUS BUGS; Basic things that don't work on my Logic Express 7.1.1. I paid for a program and I expected it worked properly. And let me tell you it is not proffessional to make this kind of statements ".now works." when you're explaining the enhacements of a new version.

Now you tell me I have to upgrade to Logic 7.2 but paying if I want my program to run without this problems.

This post is just to tell you how dissappointed I am.

Waiting for reply. Yours sincerelly.

No big deal, the work around is if you need sample rate conversion, do it manually, record at the correct resolution, import files files at right resolution.

Maybe I'm old skool but I take those measures not matter what DAW I'm using.

Let's see Dp it's done manually, same in SX, now it's fixed in Logic 7.2 you can use it or move on to another DAW....whatever.
