freeware drum machine for mac, looking for freeware drum machine for mac Options

Looking for downloadable freeware drum machine that can import samples.  My requirements are minimal, I've used Hammerhead on the PC and that would be fine if it worked on Mac.  

Virtual Drummer is okay, except that you can't import samples.

You might try this Rockit software. It weems pretty full featured for a free app. The other link has midi files made with rockit that you could review.

1. it's not actually freeware.
2. seems pretty 'c**p'.
are we talking about a stand alone program or a plugin solution here?
there are plenty of alternatives.

Try going to   www.computermusic.co.uk and downloading   SR-202. This is a pretty cool little VSTi  drum machine which lets you import samples and the web site also has alot of loop and construction kits to download all for FREE...

sr-202 is definitely the one if it's a plugin you're looking for.

I was thinking stand alone, but plugin will work if I can use it with Audio Desk. I'll check out the site, thanks.

Okay, went to the site, it looks good, but can I download from the site, or do I have to buy the mag? That isn't a problem, just hope I can find it.

no You can not emport samples. You use it to make samples in midi or audio.
