How do I compose drum tracks with a MIDI controller and wav.files of drum hits? The controller shows up in Pro Tools, inputwise, but I don't know where to put the actual drum hits to record(trigger them)...thanks!

Hey,
You must use either a hardware (akai/roland v-drum) or software (kontakt {my favourite}, battery) interface in order to patch samples to midi cont keys. or sometimes like the Korg microkontrol or kontrol49, it has software for the interface that you can use.
Good luck!
