Hi,
I have recorded a song using Garageband and it's 7 minutes long. How can I edit it to cut it down to 4 minutes? I have tried placing the red marker at the 4 minute mark but can't seem to find a way to end the song there. thanks, M |

Use the "Cycle Region" marker. When that is turned on the song will automatically clip to what ever is within the yellow region marker when you "export to itunes"
The cycle region marker is the yellow bar at the top: -------------------- |

Also scroll to the very end of your song, probably past the point where your audio stops.
You will find a marker with a triangle shaped flag, grab it and position at the end of your audio. then when you bounce it will stop at the end marker. the end marker gets shifted when you add audio to session. -------------------- G-Dub

To edit your song or single tracks you can place the timeline (red marker) at the appropriate place on the track, go command>T, then click outside the selected track. Reselect the unwanted part of the track and delete.
