Hi, I can't seem to get my AU plugins to come up in the list in Logic Express. They are in the correct directory ie. Library/Audio/Components but when I go to try and insert one they are nowhere to be found. They do however come up in Peak wthout any problem so they must be in the right place, is there something I have to change in Logic Express to allow third party AUs?

Logic should have detected the newly installed plugs and run the AU validator. if not there is a menu choice to activate the validation.
If they don't pass validation you can manually activate them. Activating plugs that don't pass may or may cause stability problems, use at your own risk. I've done it before for some plugs that needed updating it worked ok for some, and not at all for others. -------------------- G-Dub

I once had a similar problem. I tried putting them in the Users/Library/Audio/components folder instead, and they then appeared.
ie. there seems to be an Audio/Components folder in at least two different locations. Try putting your components in another of these folders and see what happens. Brett |
