Hello,
It's me again (I hope bringing this topic to end, I don't want to bore)
I found something:

" In order to test the Audiophile’s usefulness with a laptop, and to retry the installation procedure, I did a limited test with an old titanium Powerbook. This configuration is not officially supported: my laptop is a 400 MHz G4, and the minimum requirements for Audiophile on a G4 is 667 MHz. On installing, the installer is a little more forgiving, telling me that only 500 MHz is required. It lets me install it anyway."

So it works... I can start using (half of power) M-Audio card while longing for new Mac.

"If its any consolation, there is always a lot of research involved in getting gear - fixing it to your budget- compatibility issues etc."

That's it!! I shall to keep budget, because Mac-based setup is not the only expense to my music set. I play other equipment too (like bagpipes-cost a lot of money).
I'll think about second hand faster Mac too.

again, thanks to all for advices
