Hi. I recently bought a Powerbook, replacing a PC. I have a Digi002 that was functioning fine with the PC. With the Mac, the audio worked great immediately (not so on the PC btw), but the MIDI only works in one direction (the MIDI out of the DIGI). Since I'm new to OSX (10.3.9) I thought maybe there is something I'm missing in terms of setting up the MIDI to send and recieve.
(More info: the problem exists in both PT and 3rd party software)
Thanks for your help.

Try the solution I gave here, as it's system wide in your case you're a good candidate.

Also, repair permissions after installs, always! use Apple drive utility. It helps sometimes. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the quick reply. Tried deleting the MIDI related file, but to no avail (my old setup was still present when I rebooted). Also did the repair permission trick. This stuff scared me a little bit as I am completely new to Mac and don't know what I'm doing.. If anybody was any ideas I'm all ears though. I appreciate the help.

Are you using the MIDI Out of a keyboard to MIDI In of your Digi 002? Are you using a USB keyboard? If you are using a USB keyboard you might have to install drivers on your Mac. If it's straight MIDI Out to MIDI In it seems strange that only the MIDI Out would work. What exactly are you trying to do? Are you synchronizing with MIDI TC or just trying to play virtual instruments or hardware synths?
