Hi can anyone let me know if the Mackie 1402 VLZ is any good and what the difference is between this and the VLZ Pro. Is it worth the extra money, or will I do well with the VLZ. Thanks

The big thing is that the VLZ has better preamps. THe VLZ line of mixers are great values and well worth the money.
I used to have the 24 channel live console that mackie makes (SR-24???) But I got rid of it because I never needed more than a few channels for my home digi 002 songwriting studio setup:
1 synth 2 acoustic guitars 1 electric guitar 1 electric bass
I recently went with a mackie 1202 vlz and it's been a great sounding and very flexible addition to my setup.
