I have a lot of field recordings on Minidisc (MD) and would like to transfer them over to my Mac for use in my music etc.
Is there an easier way to do this than simply feed the audio out of the MD recorder to the Mac and use an audio recording software, then edit and finally save as AIFF or WAV files? It would be nice if I could simply import everything digitally (perhaps even in high speed as my Sony MD recorder has "Net-MD" support) to my Mac. Is there software that allows me to do this? Oh, my Mac also has optical audio jacks, so I suppose audio quality will be a little better than using the normal audio jacks on the MD recorder and the Mac though I've never tried this. Anyone know more about this? |

AFAIK Sony's SonicStage is the only app able to do this, it is not available for Mac.

QUOTE (coldharbour @ Dec 19 2005, 15:50) AFAIK Sony's SonicStage is the only app able to do this, it is not available for Mac. Are you sure Sonic Stage allows you to transfer audio from the MD recorder to the computer? I know that you can easily and quickly transfer audio to the MD recorder from the computer, but not the other way round. |
