This is really strange. Yesterday I downloaded the free audio/video editing software Hyperengine AV ( www.arboretum.com ) to try it for some projections I have to make and all imported audio plays at double speed! blink.gif

Has anybody else ever come across anything like this? Any ideas?

System: Imac G5 1.8, M-box,1G Ram, 160GB external hard drive.

I think I had something like this; I seem to remember exporting the audio tracks from the video using Quicktime pro into some format or other, making sure they played back at the right speed, then dropping them into HAV and lining them up with the video. Never figgered out what was wrong, video voodoo...

Check the sample rate, most video is 48KHz.

Hmmm. The problem is not only when I try to import video. I've tried .mp3, .aiff., .wav files and it's still the same (triple speed to be exact). So I guess it's not a sample rate problem....

It's sort of funny, to tell you the truth. Maybe I'll get a few funny clips going this way. "Always look on the bright side of life" (and software)

Back to Imovie for the time being...
