i have been playing around with mixings softwar for some time but now i want make something real, i have a powerbook g3 500mhz with 258ram.
my simple question is which softwar should i use to record the sounds that i produce with reaktor and max/msp with a synth connected to OMS, i know there is Cubase, Reason, Digital Performer, logic and etc... i'm looking for a good one that i can use some tools as instruments at the same time and easy to operate...
any reply will be apreciated

Use Logic. There is no alternative if you really want the best. Reason is quite funny but it isn't for recording. And don't ever (ever!) mention Cubase again. Don't even think about it. I have no idea what Digital performer is but believe me: Logic is 'the way', it's fast, stabile, flexible, powerful, it has the EXS-24 and EVP-88 (an incredible Rhodes and Wurlizer-modeller), and last but not least: it is logical.

i will install logic today and try it,
and i hope delete cubase...
BTW. if i have any question about logic, configurations , problems and etc,

people usually get into logic because of its' stability and its' support/consideration for the professional community. smile.gif
platinum is obviously the best version, will be a more future proof solution. much more to play with and always first to implement new developements. wink.gif
logics' vsti implementation is not as good as cubase' but there are some workarounds that i'd be happy to talk you through if necassary.
looking to the future vst technology will die, macos will provide a much better solution and logic (now owned by apple) will be first to implement it.
maybe read my thread, titled "audiounits". unsure.gif
logics' environment is unique amongst sequencers, a powerful resource, and seems like the kind of thing that could really work for you! tongue.gif
hope to have helped, stay in touch...

then learn… wink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

BTW, if you're into MAX/MSP, the tailoring facilities of Logic will be a must. A hassle at first when all is to be done. But after you have the power, you're black and you're making big top of the pops tunes and big money… Great! wink.gif

(big huge bass running under)

DP is easier to figure out, less tailorisable but otherwise as pro.

Logic belong to Apple… (hint hint)

I won't speak about the C word wink.gif
