Hi,
I have recorded a piece using Garageband, transferred it to i-tunes and converted it to M4a and now can't seem to transform it to MP3. I have seen a few programmes on the web, but was wondering whether you could recommend one to use with the Mac powerbook G4, Mac OsX. Cheers, Miriam |

Use iTunes.
Go to iTunes Preferences and click on Advanced at the top and then select the Importing Tab. Change "Import Using" to mp3 encoder and select a bitrate Setting. Close preferences and click on the song you want to convert in your Library so it's highlighted. Then click on Advanced in the iTunes menu bar at the top and select "Convert selection to mp3". |

Monkeyboy, thats a very helpful post. I've wanted a good way to convert these files for a long time.
Oh and morbass, that soundconverter utility looks nice but it says it requires OS 10.2-10.3. Does it not work for tiger? -------------------- |

Hello fellow Macmusic users, I just got this in from the maker of Soundconverter:
Hello my name is Gene, (Morbass2004) from Brooklyn, NY and I was wondering > does Soundconverter work on Mac OS, Tiger (10.4)? Hi Gene, Yes: http://www.dekorte.com/projects/shareware/...SoundConverter/ -- Steve |
