Has anyone ever "overloaded" their computer by using a usb connect keyboard controller? By that I mean playing notes rapidly for about a minute until the system emits a wierd buzz then completely cuts out any incomming midi information or previosly recorded audio. This isn't a hobby but it happened last night. Has anyone found a suitable way to avoid this? I'm using a powerbook with logic pro. I also ran into a problem with midi audio synch after using a decent amount of plug-ins/instruments. Any input would be considered good!

i had a major crash a while ago. My mac froze and a realy loud high pitched constant noise came out of my monitors. Pulled the plug, left it a while and when I switched it on I had no sound coming out. Thought I blew my sound card, but when I contacted its costomer support they sugested I try another usb port + change cable(for external soundcard). Everything worked fine after that.

thanks, i'll consider your experience. I wonder if there was a way that the usb port became damaged? The problem seized to continue once i unplugged the chord. If I damaged my computer by inputting too many notes too frequently...thats crazy!
