1. Called sales said card would be fine in my Mac 9600
2. Bought unit
3. Audio out distortion/breakup
4. 1 1/2 hours with tech support, RA for a new card
5. New card same problem!
6. Head of tech support calls: won't work in my machine, solution: "Sell the M-Audi or buy a new computer"
7. Called m-audio (midiman), only person to speak with re problem, sales or tech support, no customer service rep.

Mac 9600: Sonnet G4/400 loads of memory.

Suggestions please

Yeah MAudio stuff sucks for Macs as a general rule, even when it works.

Can't get your money back, huh? I'd say get rid of it as soon as you can though Ebay or something and get the stress out of your life.

MidiMan stuff...

OK, I won't go into my latest horror story with a midisport 2X2 (drivers etc. OMS etc.)

My local store carries the stuff, so I try to be supportive...

Had terrible time with Delta 66 soundcard and breakout box on a g4 533

hard drive would just constantly move while card was installed.

I returned it.

My sh__ list?

-Midiman, M-audio
-OMS
-Roland (story to come later)
