Is anyone using any of the newer iBooks (non-clamshell) with Ableton's Live or Reason 2.0? If so, how is it going? I will either buy a used G4 PB (400/500Mhz) or new 12" iBook (600Mhz-700Mhz)...but need to know how these programs run on these systems. I currently use a PIII 1Ghz Sony Laptop and want to own an Apple computer as well. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I just purchased one of the new model ibooks (700 mhz, 640 megs of ram) and am very pleased with the performance. I've only tried the Reason 2.0 demo, and I can load an insane amount of synths/samplers before the cpu meter begins to dwindle. Hope this helps. biggrin.gif
