I have a few older hardware midi racks and a controller synth keyboard and want to use these with cubase se.

I have all the racks and the controller synth connected to a roland 880 midi mixer/switcher (8 midi in/out) with a midi out to an m-audio audiophile firewire to the mac ibook g4, and the midi out of the audiophile firewire back to the 880

in the mac's audio/midi ultility i have set up all the icons and wired everything up (visually). when i "test midi" all the units make their sounds and midi is transmitted out to the units

when i play the master keyboard all the units work properly as well

when i load cubase se.... no midi is received, recorded, etc.

any suggestions would be appreciated
