No matter what the graphics and numbers say. Your ear is not used to recognize an electric guitear D.Ied as a good sound. The cable you mention is a mere 1/4 to 1/8. Wont do nothing to your sound. NAtive Instruments Guitar rig and the rest have a software impedance matching simulator, but I´ve found better results with a D.I. box and a mic pre. Seems that your emac input is mic level so forget the mic pre. Hope this helps. If you have the money go and buy the Marshall powerbrake and use your real amp. They sell for cheap now

Guitar Rig is delivered with the Rig Kontrol, that is not only a controller for the software but also a D.I. box to plug-in your guitar there and get a line level signal at Rig Kontrols output.
