I have Cubase and Reason but don't know what other software packages I need for getting my efforts onto servers and out to my web friends. Someone told me MP3 was the way to go but Cubase will not save in that format. Do I need a converting program or does my Mac have somthing can use

Thanks up front for your kindly help

yes -- like it or not, itunes can turn any .aiff file into MP3 --it has an encoder. Look under Advanced to set the preferences. Just save in your sequencer as an aiff or wav file, drag it into itunes. choose the song, single click to highlight. go to advanced settings, and you will be able to convert it as an MP3. Good Luck !!

Yep just use iTunes 'add to library', then look in your user iTunes music folder for your mp3's

Hum… rolleyes.gif

I must have missed something. My iTune does not import wav files using the import option. If I drag the wav into the iTune (source window) it shows up but won’t play. The preference in importing is set Encode to mp3.The aft file imports and converts ok. But how do I get a copy of the mp3 file out of iTune so I can put it on a server for my friends to view?

I lost blink.gif

Thanks for any help

all you have to do is drag the file from the itunes window to your desktop or to the finder window that you want. It should just copy the file to that location
