greetings,
just before i send my Layla24 back to Echo (on their advice) ....
Has anybody had trouble playing ANYTHING back at correct speed thru the Layla? (OSX 10.2.8 + Layla with 1.3 driver + i-tunes.)
I've tried every setting i can find on the Layla and in the Audio/Midi Window, but CDs/Logic files always play back too slow.
If any Layla users have have this problem.. please shout..
regards tobes

QUOTE (ourmanflinty @ Jun 27 2005, 12:52) You don't have a sample rate problem here do you? If you had a poor clock I would expect clicks, pops etc during playback. If you were playing a 48k file at 44.1 then it would play slow... hey Its not as if I'm hearing clicks/pops in otherwise normal playback.. there is just no correct playback rate at all! From what I can tell: - the Layla console has no sample rate menu of its own - the only clock-setting menu is 'Input Clock', and on mine this is set to "Internal" with the other options (SPDIF, WORD, ADAT) blanked out. In the OSX Audio/MIDI window, there are nine sample rate options: 8000.0Hz, 11025, 16000, 22050, 32000, 44100, 48000, 88200, and 96000Hz (all followed by "32-bit") None of these rates, 44100 included, will allow playbabck of a CD at correct speed. (CDs always 44.1khz right?) As I explained to the Echo guy, there just don't seem to be any other parameters I can change. tobes
