Hey all...

Just wanted to give you my review of the Mac Mini and Digi 002 Rack...I purchased the 002 yesterday and literally have been using it since 8pm yesterday night...and i just shut it off at 2pm today....I have ZERO problems with it...everything installed like a dream... I booted it up for the first time, it reconized everything and I was off and running...My friends came over and recorded 2 songs (hip hop) and I was amazed...one of the songs came out to be 28 tracks and I have ZERO drop out or anything of the sort...
Anyway for around $1900 (give or take) i have a GREAT DAW.....I couldnt be happier .....so if there is anyone that is leary about getting this same set up.....DONT BE!!!!! Feel free to ask any questions...BTW... I have the 1.4 GHZ with 512 ram.....

Hello. I am pleased to hear that the mac mini 1.42 works with the Digi 002 rack. I checked the Pro tools website and wanted also inquire about connecting the devices with a firewire drive. Digidesign suggests that if you do not have two firewire ports, You can hook them up together in the following order: 1) connect the firewire drive to the computer
2) then connect the firewire drive to the digi 002 rack.
Has anyone out there tried this with any success? Help!!

I'm using a mac mini 1.42 with one 1 GB of ram. Should I use the Mbox or go for the digi 002 rack?

Thanks for the reply. Pardon my ignorance but since I'm hooking up so many devices should I be
1) turning them on and off in any particular order?
2) Do I also always have to reboot the computer if I want to use the pro tools interface or can I just plug it in while its already on?

Thanks.
