Greetings,

I've recently picked up an mbox with PT 6.2.2 and a pair of KRK powered monitors. I want to direct all the audio on my computer (itunes, quicktime etc.) to run through the monitors which are connected to the mbox. I went to system preferences and switched the output and input to Digidesign HW (mbox). When I do this however, it says the selected device has no output or input controls. I was told that I could use the mbox to direct any audio on the computer through it. Any ideas how to get this solved? Thanks,

Josh

download the Digi coreaudio driver 6.9 from Digidesign. Then set your mbox as the default in audiomidi setup. The Digi coreaudio manager will launch whenever you play in itunes or quicktime or whatever. Just make sure to close thos programs and the manager before trying to use Pro TOols

Also you might update to Pro Tools 6.4 if you are on Panther. Its free up to that point - 6.7 and above is a paid upgrade.

best of luck with that Mbox. I'v found it usually works OK for playback, though for recording in logic etc its a pain angry.gif
