Hi,

Im having trouble setting up multi-channel instruments in Logic Pro 7.
I set up an AU instrument (e.g ESX24/Reaktor) as a multi-channel and then assigned its various outputs to different aux channels but i get no signal coming through.
Can anyone tell me where im going wrong?

Thanks.

For the EXS, you should open the "EXS24 Instument editor" (in audio menu)...Then open the Instrument you want to use, & then make sure that the zone or zones that contains the sample(s) is routed to the same output as the aux ch....by placing a check mark next to "EXS output" (in the zone dialog) which will open up a menu. Pull down the menu, you should see the output assignments... Save instrument!
Hope this helps, Peace

You need to set up the Aux channels, that you are routing the sound through to.
You set up your multi-channel EXS instrument first, and send audio to output 3-4.
After that you need to set up an Aux object. The outputs of the newly created multi-ch instrument will now be available as inputs in the Aux object. Choose EXS ch.3-4 as the input on the Aux, and you can now route it to anywhere you like.
