Hi, I downloaded apple's free trial of Logic Express as we have purchased a presonus firepod and were looking for something a little better than GB (which is also excellent). When I open logic express on my new powerbook and also on my emac, it says ''could not load HUI module.'' I was just wondering if anyone knew what a hui module is? Is this a big problem that will interfere with recording or do I just need to change something in the preferences? Cheers if anyone knows anything. blink.gif

Logic is apparently trying to recognize anything that is in (HUI Mode) which will control Digidesign Pro Tools, MOTU Digital Performer, among other DAWs. Also will allow to function a Surface Controler(Module), like the Mackie Control(Universal)....

I work with Digital Performer, so I'm not sure, but if you click ok or cancel, you should still be able to run Logic. In setup, you should be able to stipulate that you don't have any of the other DAWs and/or that you don't have a Control Surface hooked up. Once your system has been setup, you shouldn't see the Hui Module ? at start up anymore.

Hope that helps. ...If not, click below and post your ? there, if needed.

Oh forgot to mention that it also appears when I connect my presonus firepod. Dont know if that bears any relevance but just to mention it anyway.
