Alright, I'm delving into some unknown territory here. I'm used to recording on my old MAc g3, with it's audio in, and now I have a g5, and I don't know ANYTHING about the kind of Audio card I need.

The setup I have is basically, a digital mixer (it has no optical outs, that's my big issue, it has digital outs, but those are with mic cables), mic, keyboard, synth, drum machine. That's basically it. I have Logic Audio Pro 7 and now I need somewhere to plug my sound in.

I was looking around, saw various cards from Creamware and such, but I would like some advice first as to what card is best. I'm looking for something probably between 300 and 600 dollars. Cheaper is always good, if the quality is good, so please! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I hear good things about the Tascam US-122, which falls within your budget, has audio and MIDI and (I think) reasonable preamps and doesn't take up a lot of space. One went for about $150US on Ebay recently.

I use Emagic's a6|2m, which I couldn't honestly recommend, although it intergrates perfectly with Logic - I've had random distortion problems with it.
