Tks for the replies.
My problem is that I can't trie them before I buy it. Here in Portugal usually the resellers don't have this king of stuff in stock.
Another question is, do the RME have software to manage the "mixer" like the AudioDesk of the Traveler?
I think that the MOTU will be my choice, but I'm not complitely shure.

Tks in advance

I have no personal experience with Motu Traveller - but I have the
Motu 828 Mk-I model. It works great sounds good.
The sturdy metal chassis and neat layout of the innards in the box -
gives a solid and proffessional impression.

I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Motu gear to anyone.

Cheers: Dixiechicken

QUOTE (Jsegura @ Apr 1 2005, 09:24)
I understand that you must from your position be diplomatic. In fact it surprised to me your brave commentary about edirol.

In fact i don't want to be diplomatic at all, we don't have too, just pondered. I'm a MOTU user, and I'm not actually satisfied with the upgrade politics of MOTU for the PCI 324 for once (rant rant rant). Now, even if I have more than personal problems with MOTU, their products work.

I'm head moderator here for about 3 years, and i'm FED UP with the problems with Edirol and M-audio. i've always been talkative about it as the team when it's necessary.

My personal experience with MOTU have been if not totally flawless, at least solved fast software wise. There has been some issues with the hardware lately i've seen, but Motu makes no fuss when the racks or card don't work as advertised (must be the asian factories not making their quality controls tight enough). I can't say so with M-Audio and Edirol. (beside there are news actors on mac, I don't have opinions on).

Dont expect some tame comments here, as long as it's backed up by personal experience, it's ok. We are a user site, not a manufacturer or editor site, that's why manufacturers and editors come here even if they don't usually talk. They are welcome but we don't expect from them the marketing blablah, we expect solutions, updates and help.

Never tried edirol........

My gear suppliers gave me good advice & I bought a MOTU 2408

But for a mobile rig the travellor looks perfect in every respect

(If I had more cash)

there's a song in there somewhere
