I have had Groove Agent and Virtual Guitarist working fine under Logic 6. Now I have had to upgrade to Logic 7 I can't get them working again. I downloaded the latest Fxpanision VST to AU wrapper which seems to have a new folder under apps called 'put your VST instruments here' which I hasve duly done. I have used the various content locator patches but the AU manager in Logic fails all except Virtual Guitarist electric FX. It comes up with a huge ream of info which I could paste but basically it says failure. Any help gratefully received. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I hadn't had them working so well before!

Hey Matt,
I've also used FXPansion for this purpose. I got everything working by opening my Audio Manager, and simply checking the boxes to the left of each VST plug-in. As soon as you check the box, Logic rescans the plug-in and gives a PASS report. Note that the plug-in still as not passed as an AU Instrument, but if you open any song in Logic and go to your plug-in's through the channel strip, you probably find a folder titled "(incompatible)". My VST plug-in's in that folder now work fine.
Try it. Hope this works for you as well. cool.gif

Hi Michael

I had got this far but unfortunately Groove Agent is the only one to behave in the way you describe. All the Virtual Guitarist ones fail even when rescanned and never appear in the incompatible list. Maybe this points to something more sinister.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

Matthew
