Before purchasing Logic Express, i would like to know if it' s possible to use VST instruments ( any kind of...) within this host.

Logic supports the system level standard Audio Units. Most plugs are available as Audio Units, if not FXpansion has a vst to Audio Unit adaptor that converts VSTs to AU.
