Just got logic express 7 and getting a bit fustrated. Following the getting started tutorial just cant seem to get anything happening with the midi keyboard, gave in on that so started on a new file, this time I can see the MIDI info being recorded to a software instrument track but cant hear anything. I'm assuming you just select the track for the appropriate instrument and should be able to hear what your playing. I dont think its the core audio as I can hear everything else. HELP! Im getting angry.

Make sure you select the proper output on the channel strip, for your audio interface.

Have you actually loaded an instrument into the instrument track? You aren't just playing a MIDI track with an icon of an instrument on it?

I have the same problem, as well as many other people.
Please read every post in this topic: http://www.macmusic.org/agora/forums/?act=...=17490&lang=EN& It will solve your problem, or part of it. After reading that thread I can now hear the sound when I play my MIDI Keyboard. I can't select a certain soundfont, but hey - it's progress. -------------------- Connor Fabiano
