I've been reading these forums and doing research for the past week. But I am more confused then from when I had started. What interface?
My intentions are simple. The only thing I plan on recording is my guitar. Mostly it'll be one track at a time, maybe two. I want to stick with firewire. I understand I get what I pay for but I would like to keep it reasonble. My set up: G4 imac (800 MHz / 512 MB) and Logic 7 Pro is on it's way. My history. started out on a cassette 4 track many many years ago and upgraded to a Roland VS840GX (used it like a 4 track). I purchased my Mac a couple of years ago with the intention of recording. I would really appreciate some good advice! |

advice???
buy a book on digital recording if you are just recording a guitar you dont need to spend £££££££££££ on logic pro 7 (entirely unnecessary and wasteful for you) 512 mb would not be enough to run logic especially if you have long guitar parts to record you would be better off buying a decent multitrack portastudio thjat writes to disk. try harmony central and see what other guitarists are saying |
