Do you know if ll the attached computers need to be running tiger? ie: Can the main machine run tiger and the other run 10.3.9 or even OS? I've got several older PowerBook with old versions of Unity Session.

Thanks

I just had the chance to try it out and it is great. This brings new life to my dual g4 500. I can run Reason, Battery, whatever... and treat the G4 as a sound modual of sorts. The end result is near zero latency. Now if only we could pass audio directly from computer to computer via a single USB or firewire connection -- without an interface.

aunetsend? Dont have tiger yet but this looks like what you are talking about

http://osxaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t...light=aunetsend

And does Xgrid actually do anything useful for us musicians? doesn't a program have to be written specifically to make use of Xgrid or similar cluster software? Or has apple found a way around this? (be cool if they did!)

best,

Something also to notice:

In Quicktime 7 player , open an audio file, press AppleKey+K ("AV Controls") and move the "Playback Speed" slider : the audio get TIMETRECHED IN REAL TIME !!!!!!!!!!
