Hi there guys, one last question, promise:)

How much ram should I allocate to logic, considering I use version 4.73, Dual 1 gig G4, have 1.25 gigs of ram and typically run about 10 vst's per track (mainly the spectrasonics stuff and sampletank 2L)

At the mo its: Min: 24566
Max: 84566

I've having plenty of problems with logic such as no audio playback, logic constantly crashing with a message along the lines of "memory too tigh...."

Could it be not enough ram allocated to logic as 24566/84566 seems a bit low.

Any recommendations on what to set them to?

Thanx again

Dev

Set the preferred size to about 75% - 90% of your total physical installed RAM. You may need to fine tune to see what works best for you, sepending on how much RAM you have and what apps and extensions you have running. Make sure virtual memory is turned off in the Memory control panel as well, in some situations it could slow you down, and in an audio recording situation it wouldn't help anyway.

I agree about setting it as high as possible. But, if 75-90% of your RAM frwaks you out, at least set it to 500000. That's what I have mine set at , and it runs very well.
