Can I use Cubase, Logic etc. with mBox (digidesign) or only ProTools software?

There's a review of the MBox in this month's Sound On Sound magazine (UK). In there, the author does try it with some other sequencers and has most success with Cubase. Digital Performer was good and Logic was OK but a bit flaky. They all had a certain degree of latency, more so than normal, so it's best to use it with Pro Tools LE for the moment. I think that was the gist of what he wrote, anyway.
The MBox is pretty tempting and I was seriously considering buying one. However, I'm moving away from it now, basically because it does seem to best with Pro Tools LE and I'm not sure I want to be trapped down a Pro Tools route. It's a really well-designed interface with some nice FocusRite preamps, but you might want to wait and see if Digidesign tweak it a bit for other sequencers.
There are plenty of third-party interface solutions available that will work with any sequencer, so I'm choosing one of them now. None of the sequencers are available for OS X yet, mind you, so the MBox is only for OS 9 apps - like Pro Tools LE.
Hope this helps.
