Lap --> Digi 002 As Control Surface? Options

Hi,

Is there a way to use the 002 as a control Surface for LAP, by constructing a
dedicated environments for that purpose?

Or is it like it says below:

"For the 002 to work as a Control Surface in Logic, Digidesign will
have to release a Logic "Control Surface Plugin" specifically for the
002, or a firmware upgrade that allows the 002 to emulate a supported
control surface (the Logic Control or Mackie HUI for example)"

Can you work-around this by syncing ProTolls LE & LAP and thereby
make LAP "taking" the 002 commands (via PT) ?

Please, illuminate my dark cellar!!!
