First: welcome - For back up, go CD, Sips are not reliable enough, and also, music can take a LOT of space. - As I can't remember which ones are the lombards (that habit to name the computers from the developpement name…) if you have SCSI go SCSI (need maybe an adaptor or it'll be on the dock) if it has firewire, run for it it's great. Some fast models are not expensive, go at least 16X now. -Burning software, usually you have toast OEM with the burner, it ok, if you need special formats buy the full version. -If you want to buy a keyboard, I'd recommend the MacAlly, great stuff, reliable. For mouse Kensington or Logitech are great, but you've got a wider choice. (check just if you need USB or ADB stuff) -For your mail client problem, I'm running outlook but from despair. But you could check out eudora at eudora.com. It's the main contender. next?
