i just bought the 100 dollar keyboard from m-audio to have some fun and mess around with making some beats, but i am having a problem with looping. ok say for instance i make a real quick melody or whatever, once i finish hitting the keys i have to go to my keyboard and hit stop. now the problem is that when i go to loop the beat it does not loop right, its off beat, so i find my self trimming "cutting" parts of the track back and forth. its pissin me off really. i know im not doing something right cause this is too much. what is it that im doing wrong?

What program are you using man? Make sure you have set the tempo so when you record 2 measures of loop, its actually 2 measures. But tell me what program you are trying to use...i'll see what I can do to help.

Oops, just read the rest of the title for the post. So GB it is. Yes, make sure you have the tempo set and the metronome on. Gotta make sure your 2 measures of stuff is 2 measures of GB.

I don't know if there's a way to set punch-in and punch-out locators in GB? That way it would automatically start and stop recording exactly where you want, instead of having to fumble with the keyboard/mouse, and trimming the clip afterward.

Kid ; there is two ways of recording in BG one is to use the loop feture hieght lite the area that you want to record ,(the marker will jump to the start point) the other way is to place the marker where you want to start, and plase the purple arrow on the time line where you want to stop , cool.gif
