HOW to master AR-16?

i am using Cubase for recording, and i want to use my Alesis SR-16 drum machine to synth with Cubase.

CAN i just connect the PC GAME PORT to the "midi in" of SR-16 by a midi kit to work this machine???

how to setup ?
i have been tried all the steps as the manuel but it doesn't work

do i need other equipment to have the Cubase master SR-16??

make sure you have the midi track in cubase assigned to the same mid channel that the SR16 is set to receive on and that the individual drum hits (kick, snare etc) in the cubase drum or midi track are assigned to the same notes you've set the SR16 to.
you also have to select your midi interface in the 'output' dropdown menu in the inspector

you ask....CAN i just connect the PC GAME PORT to the "midi in" of SR-16 by a midi kit to work this machine???

and...do i need other equipment to have the Cubase master SR-16??

I don't know about the PC game port but you definitely need some type of midi interface.

good luck, bjkiwi.
