Okay, Im analog still so give me a break==I want to get Digi 001-possibly with a Powerbook-Def with a powerbook-Now, if I order Digi 001 and I get me a Powerbook, what else am I going to have to buy in order for all this to work?

To get the Digi001 to work with a powerbook you got to get a large, expensive PCI thingy that's about as big as your powerbook. I don't think it would work that great because the PCI bus speed is a limiting factor with the Digi001.

Digidesign has a new USB interface, the Mbox, that's not as elaborate as the 001 but will work with a powerbook.

If you were serious enough to consider Digi001... I would look into a MOTU 828 (firewire) interface and then use Digital Performer 3 for sequencing. That is a good choice for a laptop computer I think.
