While locking out my girlfriend from the studio Mac I've gone and locked myself out by forgetting my password.
Short of putting the drives in another machine and re-installing the system (I don't even kow if that works) is there any alternative?
I actually don't mind except I'm locked out of Pro Tools, the very reason I was using Multiple users in the first place!
This is urgent, so if anyone can help please do so ASAP.

If you're talking about the Multiple Users control panel, then you can probably boot from a CD and delete the Multi-User prefs in your Preferences folder in your System folder on your startup hard drive. Then restart.

does it boot?

if not try also to reset the PRAM (multiple user can be bypassed depending your version, mac...)

if not the only solution is to have another bootable CD (system CD, norton CD, bootable backup made b4 ;) etc...)
