Hi im planning on buying an ibook 500 mhz for live purposes only, i already have a better g4 for production in studio, but i dont know if the ibook 500 mhz is enough for what i need, i work with cubase, a motu 828mkII audio interfase and a motu midi timepiece, i have hardware synths wich i sequence via midi with cubase software, that doesnt concern me, my question is i have some virtual synths that consume a lot of cpu, but anyway just in case im laying them down to wav so they can be as plain audio tracks, if i use my ibook only for audio purposes, and use the cubase as the midi sequencer and maybe have 4 or 5 digital audio tracks loaded, do you think i would have a problem playing live??? i buy a ibook 500 mhz because i cant afford at this moment a better one, but i think taking simple and intelligent precautions it would work just fine, can anybody help me???
