I'm currently running a 1ghz G4 60 gig HD 512ram mac os10.2.6,,,with a barracuda 80 gig ata/100 internal slave HD...my problem...when running sessions 10 to18 tracks...no plug ins from 2nd HD I get a DAE error (-9073) "can't get audio fast enough from disk...disk too slow or fragmented etc..."Now running same session from master Hd (ststem Hd) I have no problems...Is this normal or is there something I'm not doing right...I think all preferences are correct...I'm a fresh puppy with PT and more times than I'd like to admit I don'y pay attention to all the instructions...thanks... trout

Run System info to get the stats for your harddrives.

Then surf to the hard drive manufacturers websites to get
the info on each of the drives in your system.

maybe the Barracuda ATA100 is slower who knows.

Maybe wink.gif it's just because it doesn't like to be in "slave" position (there's no such thing as master and slave on macs, it just points out one is drive 0 and the other drive 1)

You should try with the drive in a Firewire enclosure… If you can borrow one to try.
